Herbert L. Kokernot jr., a West Texas millionaire, built a million dollar baseball stadium in Alpine Texas-a small town of 5,000 people and dominated semi professional baseball in the region from 1947-1957. This blog is established to try and reach some of the 200 or so baseball players and others that might have knowledge about Herbert Kokernot and the Alpine Cowboys mythical baseball team.
